Julio Del Cid
With over 15 years of experience in the IT sector, I specialise in tech leadership. Some of my specialities is cyber risk management, technical leadership, industrial cybersecurity (OT/IoT), and technical training/education.
Established in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) within Australian Critical Infrastructure sectors such as utilities (water, energy), finance, and higher education my work is deeply rooted in aligning industry cyber security best practices with sector-specific regulations, including the Australian SoCI Act, APRA, (CPS 234), ISA/IEC 62443, NIST cybersecurity framework, and TEQSA compliance standards.
As an academic, I contribute to shaping the next generation of IT professionals by developing and delivering courses in cybersecurity, cyber criminology, and software development. I also serve as a consultant to the Holmes Cyber Security Research Centre, leading critical projects like the Cyber Security Uplift in the water sector. My mission is to facilitate organisations and individuals through the complexities of cyber security, regulation, and technology.
